Detach or detached?

Supper at the Colonel's opposite my home tonight.

Diary - today I succumbed to the sin that had manifested itself in the form of a two-piece chicken meal. Upon the flash of my Popular card I got me a dollar off - it was a really good deal. Well for my finances at least, but not so for my health. For with each oil-spurting bite I took, I was slowly killing myself.

Otherwise, it was a good day. A good day in the day of a good life.
