i am so man, i put on a not-so-man appearance so as not to scare people away

greetings beings. it feels good to actually type this out instead of say this out now. it's great knowing that i am facing my monitor while i type this and not some voyeuristic camera i willingly (shamelessly) place atop my monitor.

and i'm sorry people, i still have a social life to lead and a social circle to be compassed(?) within, so there's never ever gonna be anymore vlogging on cornroll. maybe i will continue to vlog, but perhaps i'd not shoot the camera right at me, but at sights more easy on the eye and more pleasurable to the senses. but then again, that wouldn't really be possible to attain. so yeah, no more vlogging i guess.

hehehe, i joke, i joke, i kid, i kid. i am blogging this at 03:21am, when lazy people are sleeping away. it's the driven people like me who keep the economy running by buying McSpicy's at 1am. my gosh, liverpool drool.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. the cavern was lame. they didn't allow outside food, not even something as discrete as a McSpicy. NO. but at least the fat waitress waited till i was finished before telling me not to bring in outside food again. her exposed midriff could have controlled the tides of the Singapore River i'm telling you. it's a wonder the rickety boats on SR haven't capsized and killed any tourists.

i can't wait for the new liverpool home kit to be unveiled come mid 2008. hopefully adidas come up with some kickass designs. but judging by the new intl kits they have released, i'm not too hopeful. nike intl kits are bleh too.

btw, maddox is really a genius. he actually has a webpage that makes me laugh. anyone who can make me laugh is genius, really. i'm afraid gabriel goh makes me laugh AT TIMES too. at times. but still, i'm so gonna regret saying this. but i still hope you die gabriel.

so, school is reopening. so what? it's great, i think i'll make some new friends. REAL friends, not friends who lock you out the house at 2.30am. hahaha edwin, you are seriously _________. unbelievable. but i don't really mind, considering the shit you have taken from me hahaha. but i still hope you mature. like i have the past 30 seconds.

i'm sorry, this isn't a funny post. i am pretty much uninspired at the moment. i'm not really a morning person. i'm pretty sure i'd be zombie-ed on New Year's Eve. and lack of sleep makes one emo and ANGREH!!!!!! i've figured that out myself. so, watch out, people around me and above and below me.

when i am free, i

vlog

SO, it's been some time since i last updated, isn't it? and really, the latest update wasn't really an update, hehe. i'm sorry, i've been busy/lazy.

and and and, thank goodness i haven't been vlogging. i'm sorry people, i'm realising that this isn't doing both my sanity and my dignity any good. so, i guess i'm stopping. i still need friends, and i hardly fancy being bounded within the walls of a certain building in buangkok green (which is really walking distance from my house). you may have guessed it as the mental asylum, nicely labeled as some medical health park.

but my brief spell of vlogging wasn't all that bad after all. for i guess i have really revealed to everyone my zany side. like really. ahhhhhhh. and it's good, it's bad. on one hand, people may look at me and start rolling their eyes in disapproval/disgust, shun me for fear of association with me, laugh at me, and think i'm an attention whore. on the other hand, people may realise that i am not as quiet as i seem, and actually start to understand that i am in fact normal (LOL?!).

but it's been a great experience. it's really refreshing to do something like this at least once in your life, just for the fun of it. and please, please do not start to question/doubt/misunderstand the level of my sanity. i'd like to think i am rather sane. talk to me, face to face, msn, and you'd find that i am well, sane. besides, with all the stresses in life that are due to come, i doubt i would be going that high anymore. hehehe. so this about spells the end of my vlogging spree, and i have since removed all the vlogposts i have posted up on cornroll. hehe i'm sorry, i'm not gonna be some clown or laughing stock, and i know my limits. it would be rather sticky if people start to think i'm really really weird.

so please do not ask me to vlog anymore. this spells the end of my vlogging days!

got this in my mail this morning

Wherever you're enjoying today's festivities, I hope you have a great time with your friends, family and loved ones. Hopefully we can give you all a belated present tomorrow with three points at Derby County.

This is always a very busy and important period of the Premier League season with lots of games in a short space of time, but I am confident we have the players and the quality within the squad to cope with the challenges which lie ahead and keep our title dreams alive going into the new year.

When I wrote this time last year I said I was sure we had made progress - and the same applies this time around.

In my mind there is no doubt we have a better squad now than twelve months ago, we have more quality all over the pitch and I am convinced we are continuing to take the club in the right direction.

It has been a year which has seen us again qualify for the Champions League through our league position, we've reached another European final and of course we have recently booked our place in the last sixteen of this season's competition.

We have been able to improve the squad by bringing in a number of top class players, all of whom have shown their ability and their desire to play for this great club.

The Premier League is tougher to win than ever before and I think the race could go down to the wire this year. Points are being won and lost every week by the top teams and if that continues then there's no doubt we're in for an exciting second half of the season.

We are closer than we have been over recent years at this stage and that, to me, highlights the improvements we have made. We have a squad of players with great hunger and a determination to succeed and I can promise you that we will all be doing everything we can to give ourselves the best possible chance of enjoying a successful season.

It just remains for me to again wish you a merry christmas, to pass on my appreciation for the fantastic support you have given the club during 2007 and to pass on my thanks for all the christmas cards I have received over the last few weeks from all over the world.

I hope you all have a great 2008.

Regards,

Rafa.

margaret simpson's tube top is adjustable

greetings beings. i am blogging from the comfort of my room and the discomfort of the humidity back in singapura. my room is RED!!!

i just got back this morning. i took a business class flight back (yes, on china eastern airlines la). this was because we were somehow arranged to sit in business class despite having an economy ticket at first, not because i have cash to burn.

there was inflight entertainment, but i only got to catch 10 minutes of the pacifier as the plane was landing because most of the time i was sleeping on the seat/bed and the rest of the time i was eating (about 2 minutes). it was a 5 hour flight. the food was not good. but i had steel utensils and proper plates and a glass. it was a new experience for me. but i'm sure people like gabrielle have taken flights within the pilot's cockpit, in first class, in the luggage compartment, beneath the wing, right on the nose, in the small space above the wheel, under the engine.

so yes, i'm a flying noob. woo, my room is red. i shall take pictures to show you when i have the time. actually i do. but gasp, only 2 weeks of hols left. biang eh!

so there has been quite a hoo-ha about my vlogging. shit, i'm not sure whether to type or vlog. besides i still have like 30 vi-di-ohs in my phone that are waiting to be uploaded. yes, i'm siao. but make me room by myself and all this kicks in naturally (for me). so well, what say you, riders of rohan?

backstreet's back alright!

hey, just dropped by to tell everyone i needa pangsai.

derek says

"it's damn fun to blog in third person!"

Ziding thinks he's crazy.

hi, i am Ziding.

hi everyone. my name is Ziding. i am derek's friend and i am here blogging on his behalf today. derek is well, lovesickhomesick. yes, derek IS well, but he is not very stable up there.

which is why i am here. i am his trusted friend, more than a mere acquaintance. sometimes, we think alike. so derek has (with all his trust), entrusted me with cornroll.blogspot.com for the moment. let's hope he recovers soon.

derek had lots of adventures today. he spent the day in church, doing his thang (thang in case, is actually xmas decoration). derek and his friends were taken on an excursion to Blaster Road and a not too near place (distant) called Far Feast Flona. jonathan took them and brought them around with a 9965. derek complained he had a headache, but he was really just tired. that liar.

at Blaster Road, derek was enchanted/enthralled/mesmerized by the manliness on display. you would find that my vocabulary is not very apt. enchanted/enthralled/mesmerized give you a fairytale feeling, whereas manliness is like, manliness. i'm sorry okay, i can't blog as well as derek does. so while derek was enchanted/enthralled/mesmerized by these weapons and dangerous objects on display (he was particularly fascinated by a "blowtorching" mask that cost $8.80), the items required were purchased and soon derek and friends were whisked off to Far Feast Flona in the 9965. derek did not even have the chance to enquire about the chainsaw he thought he saw. what a waste, he thought, for he had planned elaborate plans for the night. he was getting a wee bit irritated with the inhabitants upstairs.

at Far Feast Flona, derek was cold and smelt funny smells. some call it the smell of flowers. derek was not paricularly taken in by these "fragrances". ah, he's not a girl.

there were cacti on display. derek saw many green things, objects. and realized they were alive! not that the Venus Fly Traps affirmed this though. derek later came to know these funny creatures as plants. he felt happy with himself. derek blew one dollar on a cactus. he was tickled by the fact that cacti require food.

"$3.40, a pack of cacti food costs! i can buy a plate of chicken rice with cash to spare with that amount," derek enthused.

speaking of chicken rice, derek also saw a "bird shop". one of derek's friends asked if the shop sold chickens.

"that would be further down the road, they even have rice to go with the chicken," derek joked.

but it wasn't very funny. no one laughed, and derek's friends hated him even more! derek felt sad. on hindsight, he felt that it was damn unfunny too. maybe he should never have opened his mouth in the first place!

and so the journey continues.

derek helped out with the xmas decorations, but did not do much. that slacker. not that they required much help though. all derek remembered was balancing a wooden piece on his head.

"it was heavy. i never knew wood was that heavy. if density= mass/volume, and wood has a pretty low density, this means wood has large volume. which is why termites infest wood," derek recalled/theorized.

but i really do think that he is just acting smart. sometimes i do not really like derek. other times i hate him. like, grarr.

derek saw lydia being lame, enclosing herself within a roof of a stable (you wouldn't understand). he was flabbergasted, but no, he did not fart. derek was being stupid, narrating Bible stories. his friends gradually grew tired of him. other times, derek sat and stared. at nothing.

derek's friend, bennie, was terribly sick. derek felt extremely sympathetic as he knew exactly how bennie felt. derek is selfish, i think he knows it too.

derek had dinner at United Square with his friends. he got himself a heroes value meal at subway.

"$4.90 for a cold cut trio six inch sub, 2 cookies and a 22oz drink. quite worth it, " derek said. yet he felt that the drink was a waste of money ( "sugar water, really.") and the cookies were "just plain sugar". so in the end, derek felt he didn't really get value for his money. derek was rather quiet during dinner, clumsy too. what a loser.

derek then walked around Novena Square and Velocity to look at stuff (alone), and boarded the Mass Rapid Transit train at Novena station. he had an urge to "black hawk down" the entire way. it did not help that the queue for his bus (72), was this

long. so he waited.

derek reached home at long last, around 9.30pm. he thought a murder had occured in the bathroom, then nearly murdered himself with the stink he created. his sister did not mind too much, for she was in the living room, a good ten metres away.

derek is tired, but happy. =)

and Ziding wishes all readers a happy holiday and wishes to remind all that the school term is coming soon. *insert evil laughter sound track.

edit (by derek): haha i really like slagging myself off. no it's not that i have a self-esteem problem or something. i just don't like to sound too full of myself.
